Ah Clint Eastwood. Man, I knew he was tough but in this movie he'd just as likely bite off your head for merely looking at him. I'm not sure how 'funny' this film was supposed to be, eg racism, violence etc but you just can't help laughing. Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a recently widowed man with spoilt kids and even more spoilt grandkids. Kowlaksi hates everyone, his kids, his neighbours, even his hairdresser!! But of course events lead him to open up a bit more and he finds he relates better with his Chinese immigrant neighbours. But man, Clint plays a miserable old man well, like Dirty Harry aged 81! 'Get off my lawn' never sounded so menacing! Does for granddads what Jaws did for sharks!
See it before Clint sees you!
